I miss this car so much

What happened to it?

I was only brought in to co-drive it once (in part because I’m not a cheap date and in part because we’re on different oceans). It did a few events since, but apparently early last year it went too big off a jump and bent the frame.

That’s too bad.

Better than Ram, worse than Ford. Also, if it’s the 8-speed, avoid it.

Why’s that? I’ve got a lot of experience with an RWD Tahoe 5.3 and it seemed fine.
Yeah, the reliability of the Rams scare me slightly. Once I move, I’m not going to have much patience for reliability issues.
The 2016+ F-150s are just too pricey at the trim level I’d looking for, that and I’m still not sold on the Ecopoop models.

All the problems the Ecoboost will have, the Ecotec will also have. Also, pretty much any GM OHV V8 with cylinder deactivation is a rotary oil drinking nightmare waiting to happen. The OHV is dead, just let it die. The turbos on the Ecoboost will last as long, if not longer than a diesel turbo, as they run even less boost. Basically the only reason to not get one is “Not a V8", to that I say, the V8 sucks, the greatest engine ever made was a 6 cylinder. V8's are just shitty, unrefined, soulless engines circlejerked by Americans who want one thing in the automotive industry that is better.
Also, the 8-speed is problematic.

I’m just not a massive fan of how The Ecopoop sounds, the performance is top notch though. Nevertheless, they’re still too expensive in King Ranch trim for me.

Do you absolutely have to have the aluminum one?

I’d prefer one, I’m not a huge fan of the previous generation. I’ve looked at a 2014 Platinum and it felt straight out of 2007.
